I was walking outside in downtown Minneapolis on a mid 50 degree day recently listening to this CD on my player. As I was passing some smokers in the doorway to a building, I stopped for a brief moment, closed my eyes, and let the smell of the city and sound of the blues transport my back to Chicago as if I was right there sitting in the audience sharing the experience with Jimmy and band at B.L.U.E.S. on the night this CD was recorded. Very nice.

The recording quality was excellent with good separation on vocals and guitar that captures the essential Jimmy Burns – which is mighty fine blues.

There was an additional treat with Jesse Fortune joining Jimmy on vocals on the song, Three O'clock Blues. Nice treat since these two go back to the 60’s as far as playing together. There was also some nice slide work on the song, Whole Lot Of Lovin'.

With 12 tracks and more than an hour of raw, Chicago blues, this is one of the better live blues recordings released in recent years. A definite must for Chicago blues lovers.
