Garrett Easley "on the loose…" makes you want to turn it up. Sreamin guitar and butt kickin drums with the title cut. A bit of the keyboards is just what is needed to move to "This-n-That" a cool jazzy tune that makes you glad you did adjust the volume; nice horns to boot. Yeah this does sound good. Wait till you hear all 11 tracts. And the cover art is hot!
Song # 4 "Checks In The Mail" brings a harp into play (harmonica) and it sounds good. There are no vocals on this CD it's an instrumental. You can write your own words. With such good rhythm and beat it would be a breeze for a singing / songwriter.
"Road To Nowhere" has a gospel sound to it in the beginning with a strong hurtin harp and a little bit of everything else thrown in to make it a favorite of this reviewer. This song just kicks my ass. The #6 song titled "Sixth Portion" serves up another bowl of this hot chilli for your music taste. Hey, while the taste buds are movin and grooving check out "Just Another Sandwich" on this buffet of good music. The foot tapping you are doing will work off the calories. Heck you might need to get up to dance and while you are at it turn it up louder if the party is really hoppin!
The last song "Summertime Rag" is a down home almost blue grass little ditty that will leave you with a smile on your face. Definitely a crowed pleaser.
I look for this CD in my rotation and am disappointed when its not there. www.garretteasley.com for more info.
