Recommended. While mining similar territory, Morris Cummings sounds perhaps even more evil and disturbed for this set. Hound Dog is firmly rooted in the Howlin' Wolf garage and the slide guitar and harp combination for the title track dredge up ghosts from the Delta. Times Like Deese is superb and lowdown with Morris dropping an occasional howl into the proceedings and shows his talent as a songwriter with smart lyrics. The twin harmonicas in Rocking Baby At Midnight are from Cummings and Robert "Nighthawk" Tooms and both offer fine solos with gripping tone. The closer, Rosie Mae, finds Blind Mississippi Morris with a guitar for a distorted and disturbing 14-minute track that stands as a hallmark to his towering abilities. Simply incredible stuff. http://www.bradwebb.com/order
