What an excellent introduction to the work of Carl Weathersby. For those less familiar with his music, this could open doors to his other albums; four in total from Evidence: "Don't Lay Your Blues On Me" / "Looking Out My Window" / "Restless Feeling" / "Come To Papa." I've caught Carl's act on three occasions; twice in Chicago, and once, in Minneapolis. I've reviewed all of his albums, and wouldn't part with any of them. The first press packet that I had ever received, pointed out the size and strength of his hands--further, it went on to say that he used no picks. Naturally, I was quite surprised. Here was an electric guitarist with the power and finesse to pull it off! After meeting Mr. Wearthersby, in Chicago, I got a taste of how powerful the man's handshake could be! At any rate, there are 15 choice cuts on this outing. There are an equal amount of covers and originals. Being a personal fan of his compositions; I can honestly say, his choice of covers are brilliant-and well done. Carl Weathersby will never let you down. A 5 star recommendation!
