The Twin Cities Blues News, a monthly blues periodical, is about to celebrate its third year of publication. The first issue was published in February 1996, was just a few pages long and featured guitarist Mic McCormick on the cover. This free publication has since grown both in size and circulation and is offered at over 130 locations around the Twin Cities area, as well as many regional locations. The paper features a cover story/interview, usually of a local blues musician or band, and informative articles, live reviews, CD reviews, announcements and upcoming blues calendar. The center section of the paper always has a free listing of area blues show dates.
