Shawn Pittman sounds like a hot Texas night. Pittman makes lots of references
in his writing to electricity, and his performance was itself electric. Having been
on the road for awhile, he said there was only one thing on his mind, and virtually every song conveyed that sexual energy with references to electric wires, green lights, and somethin’s got to give. A little Vitalis is all this guy needs to pull off a solid Elvis impersonation. Aside from a compelling onstage presence, his guitar work was fabulous, and his drummer had that trash band sound. His career in the music business appears to have had some ups and downs, but as a musician, he’s due for some real success. Many of this night’s audience were fans and friends. This was my first time, and will definitely not be my last.
