Anyone with more than a passing interest in the Blues will immediately recognize the artist on the first issue of LB for 2001. Shemekia Copeland (who prefers you not use her last name, thank you), is featured in a surprisingly revealing article. With the achievements of a seasoned Blues veteran (including seven W.C. Some thoughts as he too is featured this issue. Record reviews include: R.L. Burnside, Shirley Brown, Roscoe Gordon, Home Cookin', The Crudup Brothers, Keb' Mo', Billy Rigsby, Artie "Blues Boy" White, Joe Beard, Sir Mack Rice, Johnny Dollar, Tyrone Davis, Zora Young, Michael Roach, Vera Taylor, Jimmy Thackery and the Drivers, Ronnie Lovejoy, Stan Mosely, Big Jay McNeely and others Reissues include: Louisiana Red and Clifton Chenier.
