Following in the footsteps of his legendary father, the late blues guitar genius Luther Allison, Bernard is rapidly making a name for himself as one of the brightest stars in modern blues. The thirty-four year old Allison has spent the past seventeen years developing his prodigious guitar skills where it counts -- out in front of blues audiences all over the world. He has honed his razor sharp guitar playing with the likes of Willie Dixon and Koko Taylor as well has fronting his own band while living in Europe. It wasn’t until the release of his first U.S. Album in 1997 ("Keepin’ The Blues Alive" on Cannonball Records) and subsequent tour that be became know to a wider audience who appreciated his blistering brand of blues. Bernard’s guitar playing combines the fiery influences of Luther Allison, Freddie King and Albert Collins with the rock influenced playing of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. In 1999 he released his eagerly anticipated follow up album "Times Are Changing," that not only featured more of his scorching guitar wizardry but highlighted his growing maturity as an accomplished singer and song writer. But it is on stage where Bernard Allison really shines. His high powered, emotionally intense show features an outstanding slide technique and an aggressive guitar style that attacks the senses like a heat seeking missile. His polished stage presence and electrifying guitar playing continue to ignite audiences wherever he plays. So when Bernard takes the stage, strap on your seatbelt, because you are in for one wild ride.
