The Persuasions
"You're All I Want For Christmas"
Bullseye CDBB 9594
by Ray Stiles
This five-part harmony group has been serenading a generation of blues and R&B fans for 35 years and this special Christmas album features many holiday classics sung as only the Persuasions can sign them. You will find hints of classic Doo Wop and five-part harmony groups from the 50’s on all these holiday tracks. This CD offers a refreshing change of pace for your holiday musical listening. Imagine "Rudolph The Red Nosed Raindeer" sung with that "doo doobie doobie doo wop" in the back ground – you would think you were standing on a New York street corner on a December evening in the 1950’s. Bing Crosby would have loved their version of "White Christmas" done in full harmony with different singers sharing the lead. And wait until you hear "Joy To The World." You would swear there was an entire chorus there. Perfect stocking stuffer, or better yet, get it well before Christmas.
