"Juke Joint Saturday Night" contains 12 juke box classics from the Memphis, Tenn.-based Ecko Records. With one of the humorous covers this writer has seen in quite some time and some even funnier song titles, this CD makes for a great spin during a house party or while preparing to go out for a night on the town.

Highlights include: Chuck Roberson's "A Whiskey Glass and a Woman's Ass,"; "Bill Coday's "Doctor Thrill Good"; Barbara Carr's "The Bo Hawg Grind"; Rufus Thomas' "Big Fine Hunk of Woman"; and Lee Shot Williams' "Make Me Holler."

    It's a Beach Thang and It's a Beach Thang Vol. 2
These two fine compilations contain some of Ecko Records' greatest shag hits. Both were released in late 1997 and do a decent job of setting the party groove. Making the cut is Ollie Nightingale, Bill Coday, Barbara Carr, Chuck Roberson, Lee Shot Williams, Charles Wilson and Rufus Thomas.
