The internationally acclaimed Campbell Brothers have put together a very
special selection of holiday music that everyone can enjoy. They
continue to set standards and at the same time, remain true to the
traditional landscape of gospel, and American Roots music. They are
truly wonderful ambassadors to the world. When we take a look at the
big picture: famine, war-torn countries, the eco-system, and our own
bleak political outlook; it's very easy to see a person choosing the
negative path or remain apathetic and numb. The Campbell Brothers put a
little light into the dark corners with love, joy, and celebration. I
view music as medicinal-good medicine makes you feel good. The Campbell
brothers bring it all home with eleven songs for Lap and Pedal Steel-the
sweetest slide work on the planet! Check out the tracks: Silent Night
/ God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen / Go Tell It On The Mountain / Rock
Of Ages / The Dreydl Song / Joy To The World / What Child Is This
/ Hark The Herald Angels Sing / The First Noel / The Little Drummer
Boy / and what holiday album would be complete without "The Christmas
Song!" Denise Brown's lovely voice is a compliment, and I'm sure Mel
Torme would approve! Another 5 Star winner from Arhoolie.
