Mick Sterling (CD Review)
"Nothing Less Than Everything"
© 1997 Heart & Soul Entertainment, 43 minutes, 10 tracks

The Twin Cities has a soul singer by the name of Mick Sterling who embraces many of the qualities of the great soul singers from the 60’s and 70’s. This new album by Mick has mostly original material and features some outstanding musical performances by a group of talented Twin Cities musicians. The Tongue n’ Grove Rhythm Section and the Stud Brothers Horn Section provide shining support to Sterling’s rich vocals. Listening to the CD again recently I had to stop what I was doing several times to find out which song was playing - it sounded so good. A good mix of that Stax/Muscle Shoals/Memphis soul sound.
